Legal aid

HIAS Greece is providing legal aid in relation to the following: 

• Access to asylum (preparation, representation during asylum interview, submission of legal briefs, appeals, legal remedies before Administrative Courts)
• Family Reunification
• Administrative Detention
• GBV and Trafficking
• Access to social rights
• Racist violence, incl. police violence
• Push-backs
• Criminalization of migration (cases of charges for illegal entry, criminalization of refugee protest, unfair smuggling charges on a case-by-case basis)
• Criminalization of human rights defenders

All cases are screened and assessed based on the actual facts of the case as well as the capacity of the team.
