Alpha Land

Samos Volunteers is an NGO that works with the displaced community and external volunteers to provide psychosocial services, informal education classes, and free clothes distribution and operates in three premises.

Alpha Land, which is within walking distance from the CCAC in the Zervou area, is an open space comprised of containers and tents.

It opened in 2021, and we now host the majority of our informal education English classes here.

The English Classes occur every Monday - Friday, at various levels, for beginners to more advanced and conversational speakers.

Alpha Land also offers:

• free Wi-Fi
• computer classes
• CV making
• table games such as chess, checkers, and cards
• gardening, and
• outdoor sports such as football and volleyball.

We also provide coloring, painting materials, and knitting and crocheting for people of all ages.

We are also an information hub and have partnerships with the other NGOs and independent legal counselors on the island.

People can register for our language classes at Alpha Centre or Alpha Land.
