IRC - UNHCR Empowerment and Self Reliance Opportunities to UAC reaching adulthood
The project will empower 85 young adults between 18-23 years old with a refugee or asylum seekers' status, living in the broader area of Athens, to cultivate the necessary competencies for a successful transition to adulthood, setting the basis for their social empowerment and economic self-reliance.
Particular emphasis will be placed on supporting unaccompanied children who recently turned 18 and are in need of immediate accommodation and employment.
There will be 3 cohorts in total, each of which will last for 3 months, meaning that the participants will receive services at an intensive pace for three months. IRC Hellas proposes a holistic approach to the provision of a well-rounded package of in-house, as well as mobile services that include:
