Mikros Kosmos

CRS, and in partnership with Caritas Athens and ELIX partners, supports children in building essential Greek language skills, increasing their active participation in school, and facilitating their integration into Greek society. 

"Mikros Kosmos" provides Greek language lessons and psychosocial activities to children (0-16), asylum seekers or refugees, supporting them holistically to make social integration steps and improving their confidence and performance in Greek public schools. 

At the same time, Mikros Kosmos helps parents and caregivers enhance their parenting skills by regularly offering info sessions, workshops and social worker consultation for topics related to their parental role. Also, "Mikros Kosmos" enforces the capacity and resilience of female caregivers by implementing the action “Mamathaino Ellinika”, which providing Greek language lessons to moms allowing them to have their babies (0-4) in the class and their pre-school age children (4-6) to attend pre-K activities. 

Services provided:

• Greek language lessons for children 0-16, asylum seekers or refugees
• Psychosocial Support (PSS) activities for children 0-16, asylum seekers or refugees
• Greek language lessons for moms with children age 0-6
• Pre-K activities for toddlers 4-6
• Workshops for parents, social worker support, info sessions
