Description

We support displaced persons by creating opportunity and fostering community through food.

We are a UK registered non-profit organisation that creates high quality, nutritious meals for vulnerable communities in Athens.

Inspired by multiple cultures and traditions, we aim to do three things simultaneously: Nourish, Train, Employ.

Our first pillar - Nourish – provides people with inventive meals in a sustainable way. We distribute to partner organisations throughout Athens ensuring the widest reach and delicious meals whilst avoiding food waste as much as possible.

The second pillar – Train – offers free culinary education and vocational training to members of the refugee and asylum seekers community in an effort to prepare our students for work in the hospitality industry. Our programme covers culinary skills as well as including soft skills training such as teamwork, leadership and time management. These trainings are in partnership with the IEK Delta and offer certified certification upon completion.

Finally, the third pillar – Employ – here we will help tackle unemployment in Athens by generating job opportunities for people from the refugee and host community.

Please note that we no cater for drop in meals. Individuals and families can come directly to our premises at Ithakis 29, Kypseli to pick up meals from Monday to Friday between 15:00-16:30 while meals last (first come - first served). Food is available for all vulnerable people.

All job opportunities or training registrations are promoted and shared throughout our social media and are available to refugees and asylum seekers. When a training is open for registration there is a simple form to fill out followed by an interview. The trainings are free of charge.
