The Mobile Health Team of Attica Urban Area provides services in the community, based on two pillars:
First pillar Provision of Primary Health Care Services to:
1. Refugees and migrants living in the urban areas of Athens and Piraeus,
2. Unaccompanied minors accommodated in shelters,
3 Families housed in sheltered apartments under the umbrella of funded programs.
4. Refugees and migrants who are in a state of homelessness,
5. One-parent families or single women with children who are hosted in shelters.
Specifically, GP consultation, Pediatric consultation, Nursing consultation, Medical First Aid, Gynecological Health, Unaccompanied Minors' Health Monitoring and Immunization, Testing for TB (Tuberculosis) infection, Medical Referrals, PSS & Protection Referrals, Psychological First Aid, Health Mediation and facilitation of access to the Primary Public Health Units and other NGOs'.
Second pillar Health Promotion sessions and seminars implemented for refugees/migrants and staff working in shelters or other social services regarding various health issues such as healthy living habits, climate change and health-domestic waste management, transmitted and skin infections sexual and reproductive health, breastfeeding, basic first aid, psychological first aid, etc.
