Refugee JumpStart, a new project in Athens, helps to accelerate refugees' economic and social integration by preparing them for successful employment through one-on-one coaching and mentoring.

What We Do:

- Coaching & Mentoring

We follow the principles of Trauma Informed Coaching and provide a hybrid of coaching and mentoring virtually to English-speaking refugees globally.  

We help our clients:

• Identyfy their unique skills, strenghts, interests and talents
• Set clear career objectives
• Learn how to leverage transferable skills
• Strengthen self-confidence
• Navigate cross-cultural integration 
• Stay accountable, focused, and in action 
• Provide post-hire support to help transition successfully into the workplace 

We impart knowledge, skills and experience, share career options and our networks, and provide relevant career information.  

- Job Search Support

Once our clients have clear goals, we help them develop a job search strategy and toolkit: 

• Create a compelling CV
• Conduct mock interviews
• Build a LinkedIn profile to develop a professional network
• Assist with job applications and cover letters

- Pre-employment Training

We strengthen the employability of our clients by providing training and workshops to close cultural and communication gaps and to develop their leadership abilities, including: 

• Giving and Receiving Feedback
• Active Listening
• Identifying and Leveraging Strengths
• Cultural Integration
• Negotiation Skills
