Refugee Legal Support (RLS)

RLS offers free legal support for interview preparation - including registration, admissibility, and asylum interviews. Time and capacity allowing, we provide full representation including accompaniment to substantive interviews and other necessary legal steps that arise, such as appeals or obtaining ID and travel documents. If full representation cannot be offered, we provide dedicated appointments to give advice regarding law and procedure, so people can better understand their situation and their rights.

We also provide legal support for family reunification, including Dublin cases where people seek reunification with family members elsewhere in Europe as well as recognized refugees, who seek to bring their close family members to Greece.

We provide a service to people refused asylum, whereby we obtain the person's file from the Greek Asylum Service in order to advise about their case so far and possible steps forward. We have limited capacity to take forward subsequent applications, but do so when possible. 

We accept urgent referrals and book interpreters in any language required.

Our colleagues at RLS in London can provide support with applications for family reunification to the UK, since Dublin family reunification is no longer possible and UK lawyers are needed.
