Programs for Children

• Experiential learning workshops for children 5+

Organization Earth offers environmental experiential learning workshops for children, refugee boys and girls as well as unaccompanied children in its environmental park “Center of the Earth” as well as in free urban gardens in Attica region. Throughout the workshops, children have the opportunity to enhance their critical and creative thinking skills. Additionally, the workshops encourage them to comprehend the importance of biodiversity, organic cultivation, seasonal and local food production, upcycling and food waste minimization.

• Sport Activities for children 7-12 years

Organization Earth offers social inclusion sport program to refugee children aged 7-12 leaving in urban centers. The methodology followed in the activities, promotes football and other sports-related activities as tools of reflection and agents of change to improve the lives of children and young people who are in vulnerable situations. Additionally, the social inclusion football program consists of a wide range of recreational, cultural, educational and social activities aiming to enhance the social integration of the participants.

Programs for Youth

• Building urban green spaces and vegetable gardens for teenagers 12+

Urban farming experiential workshops are implemented by Organization Earth targeting teenagers, children with Intellectual Disabilities as well as refugees and unaccompanied refugees aged 12+. The workshops combine the practical aspect of creating a green space or a small scale garden with the necessary soft skills required in the urban farming sector. Participants will have the opportunity to build urban green spaces or gardens, acquiring the ability to duplicate their work in their own space of choosing, and for their community. Through these workshops trainees will develop their competences in order to foster their social and professional inclusion.

• Sport Activities for children 12-17 years

Organization Earth offers social inclusion sport program to refugee children as well as unaccompanied children aged 12-17 living in urban centers. Especially for teenagers, the program is focused on developing their social and professional skills. Additionally, the social inclusion football program consists of a wide range of recreational, cultural, educational and social activities aiming to enhance the social integration of the participants.
