Creative problem-solving, technical skills, integration and employability services for male and female refugee youth

"Horizon" is an non-formal education and integration center for male and female refugee youth (aged 15-23yrs).

There are two programs available at this moment:

“Design your future” program - A 6 month program (for 17-23 yrs) that includes:

• Using design to solve problems
• Technical skills: woodworking, tailoring, electronics, CAD & 3D printing and computers
• Team-work development
• Greek language classes
• Career counselling
• Job-readiness training and soft skills training
• Job application and placement support

“Horizon Toolbox Program” - a 2-3 month physical/remote program for unaccompanied minor participants (aged 14-17yrs) living in shelters. This program includes:

• Fun, creative activities to promote teamwork and problem solving
• An introduction to the design process
• Basic STEM-like challenges
• A ‘taster’ for those who might be interested in the ‘Design your life’ program. 

*Toolbox programs are organised and facilitated in collaboration with the staff of the shelter. If you are living in a shelter and are interested in participating, speak to your shelter educator or social worker.
