Diotima Center for Gender Rights and Equality offers legal aid for refugees and asylum-seekers, women, men and LGBTQI who have experienced gender-based violence:

  • Information about seeking asylum and your rights
  • Individual counseling
  • Legal aid and representation during the asylum process
  • Representation in court for criminal and civil cases

They also offer additional support:

  • Information and referrals
  • One-on-one assistance, including going with you to public and local services such as health, security, and social care services
  • Referrals to shelters
  • Continued check-ins to be sure you are able to get the help you need

Gender-based violence includes sexual violence or exploitation, or physical or psychological violence due to your sexual orientation.
